This is a usually non fatal carp disease caausing fish to become heavily spotted and at risk from infection.
The first symptoms usually appear to be red spots which grow and often become white and pus filled before bursting over time.
Whilst fish in an ornamental circumstance may be treated by the addition of malachite to the water obviously carp in lake cannot be so easily treated on mass.
Any fish caught with sores are best treated with the application of a carp treatment product such as klinik or Nash Medicarp. I prefer the gel type formulas as the gel like formula adheres more strongly to the wound
As with any infection risk, carp food with an antibiotic content can be introduced to help tackle infection.
